This also means that the Beth Israel Center's Mitzvah Monday will be rescheduled to Monday April 2nd (instead of Monday March 26th). Our first shipment of Kosher Coke has arrived and it's a doozy! According to our delivery driver, we're the only KFP Coca-Cola delivery in town, so if you're looking to curb your sweet tooth this upcoming Passover, Adamah is the perfect place to do it.
This week's special at Adamah is Vegan Mac 'n Cheese! Made using cashews, nutritional yeast, and other natural flavors, you'll have a hard time distinguishing this delicious comfort food from the real thing. But don't worry: if it's TOO vegan for your taste, add some of our delicious mango-jalapeno BBQ brisket! We've got a couple of new items in the beverage cooler that are sure to entice! Guayaki's Yerba Mate tea has "the strength of coffee, the health benefits of tea, and the euphoria of chocolate". It's a great way to get the energy you want from a cup of coffee without risking a crash or dehydration. We've stocked Enlighten Mint and Revel Berry flavors; both are completely organic, vegan, and delicious!
At the counter, be sure to check out Guayaki's Yerba Mate Shots! These are comparable to energy shots you might find at a convenience store, but with a few important distinctions: they're all-natural, they won't give you jitters, and they actually taste good! We've got a limited supply of their new Lime-Tangerine flavor. Earlier this weekend, Chef Jason (aided by his two favorite sous-chefs) placed 2nd at Madison Chef Week's Veggie Burger Throwdown! Last Saturday (3/10) at Camp Trippalindee, Jason represented Adamah and went head-to-head against 9 other renowned Madison chefs to see who could make the best plant-based burger. Topping competition from establishments like Harvest, Forequarter and Tavernakaya, Jason's vegan-cheese-stuffed chickpea burger ("The Juicy Lorraine") ultimately took 2nd place behind Jennie Capellaro of The Green Owl, with Madison Sourdough's Molly Maciejewski taking 3rd. Thanks to everyone for supporting Adamah at the event, and congrats to chef Jason!
